Say it ain't so...
Yes, ladies and gents, the 2010 Lollapalooza lineup was announced yesterday, which means there are exactly four months from today for fans to prepare.
I, personally, am fascinated to see some bands in the lineup that can only be described as excerpts from the soundtrack of my youth, some that I’m not holding my breath for and some that I’ve never heard of.
Among the acts slated for the festival are Soundgarden, Green Day, Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Phoenix, Lady Gaga… Wait.

Gaga at Lolla?!

This thrills me. You see, I am just like millions of new converts. It took some time for me to come around. I have never been a huge pop music fan. I found my niche long ago and pop simply wasn’t it. But after months and months… and months of hearing her everywhere, seeing her videos and overdosing on the Haus of Gaga, I can proudly(?) say I am now one of the lady’s “little monsters.” It’s like I’m high on Gaga and I can’t come down. But I digress…
Also on the lineup are Social Distortion, Spoon, The New Pornographers, Eryka Badu, MUTEMATH, Blues Traveler and many more.

"Go" by Jonsi

Upon the accidental discovery of “Von” around five years ago, I fell in love with Sigur Rós. While understanding the lyrics of the group, which is from Iceland, is no small task when in the band’s native language, the story and the soulfulness of the music is easily accessible. So, when I read this at The AV Club, I was optimistic that Jónsi Birgisson, Sigur Rós vocalist and guitarist, would continue to impress me with his debut solo release, “Go.”
